HTML Website Host
I'm having a serious trouble finding a good HTML, JavaScript, CSS website host. (I'm guessing if it hosts HTML it should host JavaScript and CSS too)
Right now I'm using Weebly, which is great but many functions require Pro Membership. I can still live without them but as I see it isn't really a website meant for HTML much.
It would be nice if the website host would allow:
- HTML, JavaScript and CSS hosting (Important!)
- Customization at least in minimum - custom banner, background, colours. (Important!)
- Multiple pages, of course (Important!)
- Custom favicon
- Simple and easy to use
- Has ability of making a guestbook or blog or forum page.
- No registering or at least ability to hide and disable registration, login! (Important!)
Don't suggest me:
- Ucoz
- Webs
- Forumotion (I want something new D:)

Re: HTML Website Host
A foruk software that fits everything you said is Zetaboards. While it may take some getting used to for some people, it is very simple to use. You can disable registering, etc and there is a webpage creation section where you can put ANY code in. There's even a javascript section for you to plug your javascript in and it'll play.
You can set forums up to redirect to HTML pages, edit anything about the appearance and so on. It's free too. The only downside are the adverts.
Oh, and you can edit the entire forum's CSS.

Re: HTML Website Host
That's good to hear. The real reason why I didn't want to join forumotion was because I was afraid it's HTML page editor has a character limit (idk for sure. But to be honest there is another reason which includes keywords - me, create, another, e-mail), which would be very bad for coded Interactive HTML games since they require lots of characters to be typed.
Know anything about the Zetaboards HTML page character limit (if there is any)?

Re: HTML Website Host
The HTML limit on Zeta must be very high, seeing as how you can have up to 5000 characters in your signature! I have yet to meet it myself.
Re: HTML Website Host
I'll check it later if it doesn't work out with weebly too well by the end of next two game releases.
Re: HTML Website Host
Oh nononononononononoooooo, Zetaboards was very bad. You could put javascript only in board template (and later write a code so it could show on a certain webpage) but even so, you could only but in total of 20'000 characters. My game has +30'000 = all required for the game to run.
I tried it on our both (and 3rd person's) upcoming RPG (forumotion) and it was much better there.
But like I told earlier, I want to use something different.

Re: HTML Website Host
Ok, we're obviously confused here because you said 2 things in one sentence.
You said:
I think you meant:
If so, then sorry that Zeta didn't work out for you in the end :/

Even if you make a new HTML page, it limits you to 20,000 characters.

Re: HTML Website Host
Yeah, it's bad, forumotion is way better for my type of wishes.
I got a reply from Weebly support e-mail to my CSS problem. I used their suggetion but neither did it work, idk what's up with Weebly HTML reader but it ignores the CSS body font color.
Unless I can somehow find a way to edit forumotion templates so I could get same design that I got at Weebly (since they are making me confused ._.), I need some kind of a trick of making the game show in new window and be read by internet browser.

Re: HTML Website Host
I think the main issue with finding a good, free HTML host is that you can do basically anything with HTML and Java, providing you know how to use it of course. Companies will try and use this to their advantage and many will only charge for it.
I wonder if there's a program like iWeb (mac only) that could be downloaded that is basically a text box that you could paste into a webpage... No features, nothing, just pure text... hm...

Another reason why Forumotion is so great - when creating HTML pages you don't need to use the forum's template/theme.
I can totally recreate the whole Weebly theme I have now and even add some more better bolts in Forumotion HTML pages.
Plus it would give me more satisfaction knowing that it all is purely coded by myself except the forum page.
Thanks for the idea, rofl~

Re: HTML Website Host
Haven't met one yet. The Contracts (BETA) game page takes up to +32'000 characters, though.
